The Annual Yankee Homecoming ”Blues & Brews” Cruise rocks the Merrimack River on Saturday July 28th featuring award-winning blues guitarist and vocalist Joey Buddy and an exciting lineup of blues talent from abroad and the US.

A native of Finland, Joey Buddy has performed and toured internationally for over 20 years.

His eclectic musical styles include roots-filled rock & roll, down home blues, swamp boogie, New Orleans R&B, country, rockabilly, gospel, soul and zydeco delivered with a world class flair!

Winner of the 2015 Finnish Blues Award, Joey was also inducted into the International Blues Hall of Fame.

Italy’s Sergio Bellotti is a highly acclaimed blues and jazz drummer who has performed with world class musicians such as Mike Stern, The Platters, Wayne Krantz, Tom Scott, Bob James, Robben Ford, Nathan East, Rocco Ventrella, Gary Grainger, Dan Siegel, Alessandra Belloni, Bernard Purdie and Rocco Ventrella among many others.

He also has performed at international festivals such as the Montreal Drum Fest, Cape Breton International Drum Fest, Berklee World Percussion Festival and the PASIC and KOSA International Music Festivals.

Hailing from Moscow, Ksenia Vasileva is a new addition to the New England blues scene.

Ksenia was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

She started her music career playing piano with a symphonic orchestra.

She then learned to play the bass guitar and joined the ethnic all-female band Iva Nova, touring Russia and Europe.

Moving to Moscow, she played with notable jazz and pop artists and recorded an album with the indie band Obe Dve.

She recently moved to Boston where she performs with Willie J.

Laws and freelances extensively.

Guitarist, vocalist & blues historian TJ Wheeler is legendary for his performances of American Roots music.

He performs a mix of blues, jazz, ragtime and more on a wide variety of instruments, including the 7 string guitar, ukulele, tenor banjo, 1 string Diddley bow & tap percussion.

His talented and passionate performances have won him accolades from such diverse sources as Blues Revue magazine, Teaching Tolerance magazine, and the Boston Globe along with numerous awards including several Lifetime Achievement Awards and a W.C.

Handy Award.

He has contributed significantly to “Blues in the Schools” program reaching 500,000 children across 5 continents.

'The Goddess of the Blues' keyboardist and vocalist Cheryl Renee enjoys a homecoming celebration as she returns to New England to perform for the first time in 15 years.

She is best-known in New England for her collaboration with husband Howard Randall in the Renee-Randall Blues Band.

Cheryl has been playing and singing professionally since she was 17.

She toured with top 40 and show bands throughout the U.S.

and Canada, then internationally with the U.S.O.

before moving to New England where she met her husband.

Finally moving back to Cincinnati after 30 years, she teamed with local group THEM BONES and landed a top 10 spot at the 2005 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

She also was nominated for a Cincinnati Entertainment Award in the Blues category.

Teri Cote started playing in the drum corps in 7th grade and began playing drums professionally at the age of 14 with The Marcy Brothers who were signed to Warner Brothers Records and opened for major acts including George Strait, Eddie Rabbit, Johnny Cash, The Oak Ridge Boys, Juice Newton, Roy Clarke, Hwy 101, Keith Whitley, Lacey J.

Dalton, Alabama, Exile and many more.

She has since performed with David Cassidy, Rob Tyre, Stephen Bruton, Freddy Powers, Anita Sarawak, Rayvon Foster, Earl Pool Ball, Bobby Boyd, Jeff Dayton, Extreme Heat, Barrio Latino, Mas Mujeres, Eric Martin and Bo Diddly.

Laite returns in his usual capacity as promoter-performer.

With a successful track record operating the NewburyportBluesCruise for over 20 years, he is proud of the high quality performing artists who have joined the BluesCruise over the years.

A cash bar is available featuring products from Newburyport Brewing company and other local brewers and snacks are served.

This sunset cruise departs at 7:00 pm.

Tickets are $45.ºº in advance and
$55.ºº on the day of the event (processing fees may apply) and capacity of the boat is limited.
