Sharon Concert Band & Roy Scott Big Band, present “Music Across America”, a musical journey through the USA.Each ensemble’s set list is inspired by the traditional American experience, rooted in classical, folk, gospel & jazz styles.

The Bands will perform arrangements that will whisk the audience to locations from Hawaii to Vermont, from the Deep South to the Sedona desert, and from Boston to New Orleans.

Sharon Concert Band will perform “A Dakota Rhapsody” by Mark Camphouse, “Spirit of Aloha” by Brian Balmages, and “Sedona” by Steven Reineke — along with the whimsically named “American Barndance” by Richard Saucedo and “Stomp River Swamp” by Michael Sweeney.Roy Scott Big Band will perform “Route 66” by Bobby Troup, “Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans” by Louis Alter and Eddie DeLange, and “Beantown Blues” by Lennie Niehaus.

The Band will be accompanied by vocalist Ruth Debrot on selections such as “Moonlight in Vermont” by Karl Suessdorf and John Blackburn.
