ABOUT NEMPAC: The North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) enriches Boston’s North End Waterfront and surrounding neighborhoods through affordable, quality music education and performing arts programs.

A group of North End mothers founded NEMPAC in 2001 in an effort to create musical programming for their children.

In 2004, the Robert White Foundation donated to NEMPAC their city-operated space located off the Prado (The Paul Revere Mall) In the North End.

This space, consisting of 4 private music studios, a storage basement and an office, is where NEMPAC began to flourish.

Today, we are serving over 900 students a week through our education programs and partnerships including the Eliot BPS Innovation School, Charlestown Working Theater, and the St.

John Catholic School.

Our concerts are making the North End of Boston a destination for arts and culture.

As we continue to grow as a Performing Arts Center, we continue to ensure we are engaging our audiences with creative, quality, and innovative programming.

To support your local 501(c)(3) North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC), please consider making a donation to the NEMPAC Annual Holiday Campaign here.

Donations fund future programming including free concerts, educational music programs for all ages and abilities, and the production of professional performance events.

ABOUT BOSTON LANDMARKS ORCHESTRA: The Boston Landmarks Orchestra was founded in 2001 by conductor and community advocate Charles Ansbacher.

The orchestra is comprised of many of the area’s finest professional musicians and they are active throughout the neighborhoods of Boston.

Since 2007 when the orchestra established a regular concert series at the DCR’s Hatch Memorial Shell on the Esplanade, audiences have grown rapidly, hosting now thousands along the banks of the Charles on a weekly basis.

Their name comes from the close connection the orchestra has to Boston’s public spaces.

They have performed on the Boston Common, in the Charlestown Navy Yard, and atop the bullpens in Fenway Park.

They still appear regularly in public parks, youth centers, and under-served neighborhoods throughout the city.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra believes in breaking down barriers for all people.

They believe in the fun and spontaneity of music making and consider all Bostonians to be their public.

ABOUT THE ONE CITY CHOIR: The choir is a volunteer group made up of over 40 experienced choir singers from all over the greater Boston area and state.

Note about St.

Leonard’s Church & Fundraising Campaign:
Through the generosity of a great benefactor, Saint Leonard Parish has received a pledge to match any donations made to the parish restoration fund up to $1 million dollars.

This unique “Matching Donation” Program will last until December 25, 2018.

$355,000.00 has already been matched, but there is a vast expense to the maintenance of the two church buildings.

Sacred Heart Church is in need of urgent repairs to the façade, as well as a great deal of interior restoration.

There have also been many requests regarding the repair and restoration of the organ, choir loft, and original bells at Saint Leonard Church.

The success of this program would allow to begin this additional work.

St.

Leonard’s Church community appeals to those who have not yet been able to extend their contribution and to their cherished visitors, to help reach the additional $645,000.00.

Opportunities, such as bricks to be placed in the Peace Garden, stained glass windows, and Stations of the Cross for memorialization of your family and loved ones.

Please contact the Parish Office for more details (617)523-2110 and [email protected].
