For the 10th anniversary celebration of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI), faculty will be joined by BGJI alumni from Iraq, Israel, Greece, Canada, and South Africa, among many other countries, along with Berklee College of Music students from current graduate and undergraduate programs, to perform global jazz.

Artists to perform include Joe Lovano, Terri Lyne Carrington, Tia Fuller, George Garzone, and Ben Street.

The BGJI is the first program of its kind, an institute at which creative music, interconnected learning, social work, and passion for ecology find common tones.

Through the development of a new curriculum, the BGJI is inspiring its Berklee Global Jazz Ambassadors to explore new sounds and use music for the betterment of society.

Global jazz is music that advances the mission of creating positive intercultural dialogues.

It is an inclusive platform, welcoming different nationalities and instruments.

Because it promotes music as a multidimensional bridge between people, global jazz creates a common language for the new millennium.
