Join Coro Allegro, Boston’s LGBTQ+ & allied classical chorus, and David Hodgkins, Artistic Director, for We Will Not Be Erased: A Veterans Day Concert Honoring the Service of All, Sunday, November 10, 2019, at 3 pm, Sanders Theatre, Cambridge.

Diverse American composers reflect on freedom, equality, and our common longings for peace across conflicts.

Join us in honoring all who serve, all who suffer, and all discriminated against from segregation to Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and the Transgender service ban.

Experience a recently discovered antiwar work by Florence Price, Melissa Dunphy’s setting of a WWII veteran’s moving testimony for marriage equality, a 9/11 meditation on the words enshrined on the Statue of Liberty, poignant attempts by American and Iraqi parents to comfort families torn apart by war, plus affirmations of our shared humanity by Irving Berlin, Craig Carnahan, Aaron Copland, Peter Eldridge and others.
