On Friday, February 7th at 7:30 pm, the Concord Conservatory of Music (CCM) presents Mile Twelve, a fresh, hard-driving, and spirited young band walking the line between original and traditional bluegrass.

The Mile Twelve lineup offers five of the most promising young musicians in bluegrass: David Benedict (mandolin), Catherine “BB” Bowness (banjo), Bronwyn Keith-Hynes (fiddle), Evan Murphy (guitar, lead vocals), and Nate Sabat (bass, lead vocals)—all excellent and creative songwriters as every band member helped write and arrange pieces for their new album.

Although their sound is rooted in traditional bluegrass, Mile Twelve surveys a broader landscape on their newest album, City on a Hill.

All five band members bring their own influences and observations into the music, resulting in a project that feels contemporary, thoughtfully crafted, and relevant.

Produced by Bryan Sutton and engineered by Ben Surratt, City on a Hill follows significant recognition from the bluegrass community, including three IBMA Momentum Awards.

The Mile Twelve concert is part of the 2019-2020 CCM Concert Series.

This year’s diverse line-up of the Concord Conservatory of Music Concert Series includes jazz, bluegrass, and children’s music.

Generous donors and funders including Middlesex Savings Bank and Cambridge Savings Bank have helped us bring the band to our community.
