Celebrating diversity and inclusion with music by Alastair Moock, Reggie Harris, and children's choir Boston City Singers. Community art by Artists for Humanity and Follow Your Art Community Studios.The Opening Doors Festival is a live, outdoor, all-ages celebration of diversity and inclusion through music and art!
Featuring:
A musical conversation by veteran musicians and storytelling troubadours Reggie Harris and Alastair Moock
Music and drumming by the Dorchester-based teenage Tour Choir of Boston City Singers
A community art project facilitated by Boston-based Artists for Humanity and Melrose-based Follow Your Art Community Studios, in collaboration with Melrose teen artists
Our first large-scale live music event aims to make the Melrose cultural scene more diverse and inclusive by amplifying voices of color within our community and beyond bringing the city closer to its ideal of One community, open to all.
Registration for a free ticket ensures a seat in case the festival needs to move indoors for rain.
