This month, Amy K and Tiger Moan invite special guest Sonya Rae Taylor for an evening of scorching red, white and BLUES.
Plus, we'll have an open dance floor and a blues dance lesson from Blues Union to kick off the night.
SONYA RAE TAYLOR - Known for her soaring vocals, searing guitar playing and deep songcraft, Sonya Rae has logged many miles in her young career.
From backing top soul, blues and rock artists as a sideman in Austin, TX to penning songs for country acts as a signed staff writer in Nashville and now fronting her own much anticipated project, Sonya Rae commands an all-too-rare blend of masterful songwriting, guitar playing and singing.
Likened to a “fiery female combination of Warren Haynes, Bonnie Raitt and Amy Winehouse,” Sonya was nominated for Boston Music Awards Blues Artist of the Year in 2019 and 2021 and has shared stages with Luther 'Guitar Junior' Johnson, Bombino, and more.
Amy Kucharik & Tiger Moan - Specializing in vintage 'Vaudeville' blues with sass and class, Tiger Moan has entertained blues and swing dancers at events such as Sweet Molasses Blues, Blues Union, Yale Swing & Blues and MIT's Bread & Bones fusion dance.
Tiger Moan is known for covering the best blues standards and for funky originals with innovative lyrics.
With Amy Kucharik on vocals, ukulele, tenor guitar and harmonica and a rotating cast of top-notch musicians on keys, upright bass, horns, washboard and kit percussion, and more.
