In a world of racial and political divide, LM4M is proud to host Movement 4 More: A Concert to Build Bridges – a multimedia event that attempts to build bridges between our diverse Boston communities in the face of many obstacles.

The event does so through the universal language of music and through students' voices.

A unique blend of music and storytelling, this event will be headlined by accomplished musicians Dana Masters, and Sultans of String, and will also feature singer Mary Fahl; all artists were specifically chosen for their demonstrated experience in combining music and topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The goal of the event is to use the power of storytelling to uplift and point us to a more inclusive and positive future, where people from marginalized backgrounds are included and valued for their contributions to society.

100% of the proceeds will go to furthering technology, mathematics and literacy education, including various cultures’ contributions to the fields, and access to education around the globe and at home in disinvested communities within Boston.

Such Boston communities encompass a large portion of Boston Public School students, which is why LM4M has made a point to welcome and sponsor students on the brink of adulthood.

The nature of the concert intends to be a source of inspiration and empowerment for young adults as they head into the world, highlighting the impact different cultures have had on academics.

Thus, encouraging students to build bridges amongst themselves, their backgrounds, and their communities, and pointing them toward a united future that embraces diversity.

If you are an individual, organization, or business that would like to help this mission, please consider making a contribution to sponsor the attendance of Boston Public School students or attending yourself.

Every cent of your donation will be used towards this event and to support the endeavors of Literacy Movement 4 More, empowering students around the globe, and right here in Boston, to build bridges and propel themselves forward in an increasingly polarized world.

With your help, we can support the future of students everywhere.

About Seema and LM4M:

Seema Korumilli started Literacy Movement 4 More (LM4M) as an initiative when she was 13 years old after visiting her ancestral village in India.

Her intention was to both honor her late grandfather and to build a bridge between the Indian and American parts of her identity by focusing on a value that is central to many immigrant families: education.

LM4M was formally incorporated as a 501(c)3 organization in 2013 with the mission to educationally empower underserved and undervalued communities around the globe through the promotion of literacy and establishment of libraries.

Since supporting their first library in Kapileswarapuram, India, LM4M has established libraries in 6 countries spanning 3 continents, reaching young people in locations as far as South Africa, Greece, and the Caribbean.

Along the way, the organization has donated a combined thousands of books, technology materials, and school supplies to their recipient institutions.

Their partners include public and private institutions, children’s homes & orphanages, multinational NGOs, and grassroots community organizations.

Much of what underpins the work that LM4M does revolves around instilling a sense of cultural and communal pride within the young people that they serve.

The goal is not just to get kids to read- LM4M aims to push them in a direction where they go forth, get a good education, and come back to serve the communities that supported them.

As an alumna of Northeastern University, a large portion of Seema’s US-based work with LM4M has been in Boston - a focal point of academia, young energy.

To this end, LM4M has launched the Bob & Osla Case Scholarship Fund in an effort to financially support Boston Public School students and alumni focused on forming their own initiatives related to asset development.

LM4M has also partnered with Bob Case Academy: Bridge to Calculus at Northeastern in a perfect marriage of literacy, mathematics, technology, and student empowerment.
