Allan's diverse influences include Bob Mintzer, Herbie Hancock, Bill Holman, Ron Carter, Rush, Genesis, Joe Jackson, Howard Jones, Styx (domo arigato), and more.
In a past life, he even played keyboards and bass in a Rush tribute band.
Allan's first solo album, Moving Forward, has something for everyone and takes listeners on a musical journey from straight-ahead, Latin, and ballads to funk and jazzed up rock classics including Rush's 'Working Man'.
Joining Allan will be: Thom Cox on guitar, Larry Gelberg on saxophones, and Bruce Hanahan on drums.
