On Sunday, March 19th at 3 pm at the First Parish Church in Wayland, Arts Wayland is proud to present The Ed Saindon Vibraphone Trio.Internationally renowned vibraphonist Edgar Saindon will join forces with colleague and pianist Neil Olmstead and acoustic bassist Barry Smith for an afternoon of colorful jazz.
Referencing the famous Gary Burton/Chick Corea band, this group extends the repertoire from breezy Cole Porter standards to the experimental timbres of Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock.
Interweaving sonic colors on familiar tunes, these three Berklee Professors place it all inside a firm rhythmic backbone.
