Curious George Room
Cambridge Public Library, 449 Broadway
Join us for a relaxed Saturday morning concert in the lovely Curious George Room at the main branch of the Cambridge Public Library on Broadway, just outside Harvard Square.
The program, 'Around the World with the String Quartet,' is geared toward preschool children but appropriate for all ages.
The concert features a wide variety of classical and folk songs from all continents, plus a show-and-tell of the instruments of the string family.
For the final piece of this 45 minute program, we invite children to play along on hand percussion instruments (which we provide) such as tambourines and claves, and each child receives a free colorful shaker to take home.
