Based in Fall River, the “Governor’s Own” 215th Army Band serves the people of Massachusetts through music and military service.
For more than 60 years, the band has performed throughout New England and the world, bringing the Army's musical traditions and goodwill to thousands of listeners.
Mosesian Arts itself operates on former military property. Our 1894 building was originally a manufacturing shop at the Arsenal, which was first established on property along the Charles River in 1816.
The area is now on the National Register of Historic Places. When the land and buildings were converted to civilian use in the 1990s and early 2000s, community members advocated for an arts center, turning the “Old Erecting Shop” from armaments to arts when the arts center opened in September 2005.
