BB BOWNESS hails from New Zealand and has made a home in Boston for the past decade.

She co-founded the band Mile Twelve who have toured intentionally and won numerous awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association.

BB was awarded the 2020 Steve Martin banjo prize.

BB's banjo playing is an exciting synthesis of new and old ideas.

'She demonstrates a command of the instrument, and plays with great rhythmic clarity both in the traditional and progressive realms.

J.D. Crowe co-mingles with the future,' says Tony Trischka.

Her euphoric energy and love of the banjo are readily apparent in any of her live performances.

BB will be joined by a top notch band including Ethan Setiawan (mandolin), Alex Rubin (guitar), Myles Sloniker (upright bass).

KAT WALLACE, a prominent Boston-based fiddle player and folk singer, is set to release her debut album, Grand Design, on January 24, 2025.

This new work is a blending of Americana songwriters like John Prine and Gillian Welch with the influence of celtic and english balladry tradition.

The album features ten original songs, blending Kat's introspective lyrics and lilting melodies with her string quartet arrangements, recorded alongside guitar virtuoso Steven Manwaring and engineered by bassist Andrew Ryan.

Known for sidemanning with Rachel Sumner and Traveling Light, Wallace continues to make her mark on the folk music scene with this compelling debut.
