A concert to benefit LUCE, the Immigrant Justice Network of MA

SHEBOOM is a Somerville/Cambridge’s only post-menopausal, Brazilian-inspired percussion and vocal ensemble known for its unique mash-up arrangements of music with a political/social bent.

SheBoom draws heavily from the rhythms and styles taught by their mentor, Marcus Santos.

The band, formed in 2010, consists of women who play a variety of percussion instruments like surdos, agogos, congas, snares, and repiques.

SIDEBODY is a band, press, and art collective based in somerville, massachusetts.

they’ve known each other for 16 years (since 2008) and have been playing music together since 2020, trying to transmute the tangle of their friendship into something that can be beamed to others.

they are known for their electric high-energy shows and unique pop-art-rock sound, and never play the same set twice.
