The group conists of Kurt Reil (vocals, drums), Kristin Pinell Reil (lead gtr, vocals), Rick Reil (gtrs, keyboards, vocals) and Dave DeSantis (bass, vocals).
While The Grip Weeds music is often described as 'power pop,’ their releases have sported many different styles of original material, from psychedelic and garage rock to folk-based ballads and thought-provoking social commentary.
This diversity has landed several Grip Weeds songs on the top of the Little Steven’s Underground Garage 'Coolest Song In The World” list, as well as placed Grip Weeds music in several television and film projects.
Their reputation as a top shelf live band has brought them to venues across the United States, and internationally, including the South By Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin, Texas, Liverpool, England’s legendary Cavern Club, and several tours of Europe, as well as showcase gigs faithfully backing Sixties rock legend Mark Lindsay, among others.
Emerging from their subterranean recording studio the House of Vibes, The Grip Weeds have delivered a tour-de-force with Soul Bender, their ninth full-length studio album and their first newly-recorded original tracks since 2018’s Trip Around The Sun.
On Soul Bender, The Grip Weeds continue to expand: Musical and sonic experimentation abounds, resulting in a record that is bigger and more dramatic than ever; melodically inventive, yet accessible with lyrical imagery and hooks firing at you from all directions.
Most impressive of all is that The Grip Weeds are entirely self-contained: From production, engineering, mixing and artwork, Soul Bender represents a complete and total vision of intent.
Filled to the brim with uplifting choruses, playful melodies, and olympic levels of kick-assory, with one foot in the rock and roll glory days of yore and another hanging over the cliff of new possibilities, Soul Bender is the perfect umbrella for the unending storms of life.

TIGER BOMB is an all female garage-pop & rock outfit based out of Portland, Maine.
The band fuses catchy original songs with blistering guitars, soaring harmonies, and a ferocious high-energy 'claws-out' attitude.
Fronted by two girl-group legends, Lynda Mandolyn of the renowned San Francisco all-girl group Fabulous Disaster and Chris Horne of Portland's all-girl garage rockers, The Brood.
Anchoring the group is the rock-solid rhythm section of Amanda Ayotte on bass (Legendary Unknowns) and Jessica Smith on drums (The Resistance).
