This month we feature the incomparable Sax Gordon!
SAX GORDON has spent decades on the road and in the studios with many of the greats of Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Jazz and Blues.
Before leading his own bands around the world, Gordon was featured on albums and international tours with Matt 'Guitar' Murphy, Duke Robillard, Jimmy Witherspoon, Luther 'Guitar Junior' Johnson, Jay McShann, Junior Watson, and Roomful of Blues, and his unmistakable solos can also be heard on recordings by American Jazz & Blues legends like Jimmy McGriff, Pinetop Perkins, Rosco Gordon, Billy Boy Arnold, and Champion Jack Dupree.
Sax Gordon brings to life the great tradition of Rocking American Saxophone like no other performer on the scene today.
TIGER MOAN: Specializing in vintage blues with sass and class, Tiger Moan is in the third year of their residency playing first Sundays every month at the Burren Backroom.
Tiger Moan has entertained blues and swing dancers at events such as Sweet Molasses Blues, Blues Union, Yale Swing & Blues and MIT's Bread & Bones fusion dance.
The band is known for covering the best blues standards and for funky originals with innovative lyrics.
With Amy Kucharik on vocals, ukulele, tenor guitar and harmonica and a rotating cast of top-notch musicians on keys, upright bass, horns, washboard and kit percussion, and more.
