Boston based pianist Hyunju Jung, who earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from Boston University, violinist Sing-Shen Lin, and cellist Ting-Zhen Chen will present a special performance titled “Lunar New Year Concert.” This concert brings together traditional melodies from Korea, Taiwan, and China, reimagined through a contemporary classical lens. The program features trio arrangements inspired by traditional music, including the beloved Korean folk song Arirang, with the aim of sharing the joy and hope of the new year with the audience.
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, the artists aim to create a special opportunity for audiences to experience cultural exchange between Korea, China, and Taiwan through music.
By reinterpreting traditional melodies in a modern way, the concert seeks to connect with audiences and share the spirit of the new year.
