The Bach Project’s mission is to bring inspiring and collaborative performances of the music of Bach to new audiences with a focus on underserved communities in New England. The Bach Project was founded in 2017 by Andrew Sheranian in association with Ashmont Hill Chamber Music to bring together and develop the musical gifts of Boston’s vibrant Early Music scene.
In this inclusive and inspiring environment, the rich legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach is celebrated through performances, educational outreach, and community engagement.
The Bach Project has offered orchestral, choral, and chamber works including the Saint John Passion, Brandenburg Concertos, trio sonatas, and motets, creating thrilling performances in the Greater Boston community.
Now in its eighth season, The Bach Project seeks to provide a space where the transformative power of Bach’s music can be experienced by all, fostering a deeper understanding of the shared human experience as reflected in these works of timeless beauty.
The concert on April 18 will feature some of Bach's finest choral and orchestral music, performed by an ensemble of some of the most talented musicians in the region.
