Lowell City of Lights Parade 2021
The City of Lights parade is an annual event that occurs in downtown Lowell in which City Hall celebrates the official start the holiday season.
More than 10,000 spectators line Downtown streets each year in anticipation of Lowell’s only nighttime parade, the Annual City Of Lights Holiday Parade!
This signature City of Lowell event brings a contingent of high-stepping marching bands, fabulous holiday-themed floats, spectacular performance groups, and local personalities.
There are various events that will be going on throughout the day that lead up to the parade in which event goers can view the lighting of City Hall, Wannalancit Smokestack Tree, and the rest of downtown Lowell.

Take the afternoon to stroll downtown Lowell streets and enjoy the fun, as we celebrate the season! From kids activities and live performances to holiday shopping, photos with Santa, AND the crowd favorite, the Annual Hot Chocolate Competition, City of Lights will make you feel merry.
The daytime fun leads to the nighttime extravaganza -- The City of Lights Parade and City Hall Lighting -- which marks the City's official start to the holiday season!
Parade begins at 4.30pm. Officially kicking off the holiday season, this signature City of Lowell event brings a contingent of high-stepping marching bands, fabulous holiday-themed floats, spectacular performance groups, and local personalities.
