boston celtics championship duckboat parade  rolling rally photo☘️The Boston Celtics Championship duck boat parade will be on Friday, June 21 at 11AM, beginning in front of TD Garden on Causeway St. passing by City Hall Plaza and Boston Common on Tremont St. & ending on Boylston by the Hynes Convention Center. ☘️

The rolling rally parade will celebrate the Celtics’ 18th NBA Championship. During the parade, Celtics players will celebrate on Boston’s famous Duck Boats, as is tradition for championship winning teams.

The parade will take place on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. beginning in front of TD Garden on Causeway Street, passing by City Hall Plaza and the Boston Common on Tremont Street, and ending on Boylston Street by the Hynes Convention Center.

*Underage and public drinking of alcohol or disorderly, disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.*

PROHIBITED ITEMS
Alcoholic beverages, large bags, coolers, glass containers, drones, fireworks and weapons of any kind. Boston police will have uniformed officers all along the parade route with anyone seeing anything suspicious encouraged to report it to the closest officer.

STREET CLOSURES
Most streets on and around the parade route — especially in the North Station area — will be closed and parking in and around the city will be severely limited. Therefore, fans are urged to take public transportation to the event. View the full list of Boston road closures and parking restrictions

MBTA Schedule
The MBTA will run rush-hour service on the subway all day with some Commuter Rail trains having extra cars to accommodate fans. Ferries will operate on a normal weekday schedule.

*TICKET TIP* - Those taking trains, subways and buses are encouraged to purchase round-trip tickets in at advance to help ensure departure following the parade. Tickets can be bought at fare vending machines at commuter rail stops and on the mTicket app. CharlieCards are not valid on the Commuter Rail.

PARKING at MBTA garages runs from $2 to $15. Some garages may fill up quickly in the morning well ahead of the start of the parade as fans make their way into the city. People traveling into the city together are encouraged to also carpool to train stations to cut down on traffic and parking congestion there.

The WEATHER forecast for Boston on Friday is looking favorable with temperatures starting warm and a sea breeze developing late in the morning that will keep temperatures in the 80s for the start of the parade and drop it to the 70s later in the day.

Television Coverage - Watch at Home
And, of course, those who might not be up for dealing with the crowds in the city, you can always watch the parade at home with all major Boston television stations planning live coverage of the event.

In anticipation of hot temperatures, Mayor Wu and Boston public safety officials are reminding spectators to stay hydrated and use sunscreen.

Boston Police and Boston EMS will have a large presence along the parade route. The Office of Emergency Management will have misting tents out to provide cooling relief located at City Hall Plaza and the Boston Common, along with cooling towels.

Attendees are encouraged to take public transportation and to celebrate with good judgement representing the city of Boston and the Celtics with respect and pride.
