We are thrilled to welcome the Tanglewood Marionettes performance of Sleeping Beauty back to Newton this year!

This classic tale is told by wooden marionette puppets brought to life by the artistic talents of Peter and Anne Schaefer who are The Tanglewood Marionettes.

About Tanglewood Marionettes
Founded in 1993, Tanglewood Marionettes is a nationally touring marionette company whose unique productions have been seen by hundreds of thousands of children and families across the country.

With seven shows currently in their repertoire, the company performs year-round at venues ranging from school assemblies to renowned cultural institutions.

You won’t want to miss the beautifully hand-crafted marionettes, colorful sets, and integrated lighting and sound creating a fully immersive theatrical experience appreciated by all ages (pre-K and up).

There are a limited number of tickets available through the Newton Arts Pass program for families with in need of financial assistance. Contact [email protected] or call 617-796-1540 with questions.

Parking:
Please enter the building at the Homer Street side entrance of Newton City Hall.
The large “Newton Food Pantry” signpost identifies this entrance.

Public parking is available along Commonwealth Avenue, along Homer Street, and
in the Newton Free Library parking lot.
