Celebrating 25 years of performances, and recently voted one of “12 Great Children’s Theaters Across the US” by Backstage Magazine, Arlington Children’s Theatre (ACT) is thrilled to announce their summer season musicals for 2016.

This year ACT is proud to present two beloved classics: Guys and Dolls, Jr. and Anything Goes.

Guys and Dolls Jr. features a talented cast of ACTors from ages 7 to 13 from Arlington and 6 surrounding cities and towns.

Anything Goes features a talented cast of teen ACTors hailing from Arlington and 8 neighboring cities and towns.

Performances of Guys & Dolls Jr. will be held on Thursday, August 4th at 7:00pm and Saturday, August 6th at 10:00am and 7:00pm..

Performances of Anything Goes will be held Friday, August 5th at 7:00pm, Saturday, August 6th at 2:00pm and Sunday, August 7th at 2:00pm.

All performances take place at the Regent Theatre located at 7 Medford Street, Arlington, MA.

Guys and Dolls JR.

follows gambler, Nathan Detroit, as he tries to find the cash to set up the biggest crap game in New York City while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for fourteen years without ever getting married.

Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, but Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown.

Guys and Dolls JR.

takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, but everyone eventually ends up right where they belong.

Anything Goes starts in New York City but then sets sail aboard the ocean liner S.

American, where nightclub singer Reno Sweeney is en route to England.

Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt, but the problem is Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh.

Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin, and his sidekick-in-crime Erma.

With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.
