From Barcelona, Spain comes a profound and intimate show by Catalan artist Xavier Bobés.Things Easily Forgotten is a sensory journey for just five audience members at a time.
Created in response to his mother’s loss of key memories, the show uses the history of Spain under Franco’s dictatorship as a lens into personal loss and transformation.
Gather around a small table, in an intimate salon setting, for a powerful sequence of close-up sights and sounds, objects and photos, invoking old memories and inventing new ones.
Like a magician, or medium at a séance, the performer manipulates both past and future.
Xavier asks, “If you could choose just one photo from your life, which one would you choose?”
