Before you’ve even finished your leftover turkey, Santa will be coming to town! The weekend-long Quincy Christmas Festival begins on Black Friday offering free family fun!
Friday, November 23rd from 5-7pm
Head to Quincy to celebrate the holiday season beginning with the Tree Lighting Ceremony.
For the very first time this will be held on the newly opened Hancock-Adams Common.
The spectacular new Common will be decked out in lights when Mayor Thomas P.
Koch and a special North Pole visitor flip the switch at 6:15pm.
Kids will enjoy a puppet show at 5:00pm, write letters to Santa and visit with costumed characters.
Kids of all ages can enjoy the Children’s Christmas Chorus Concert at 5:45 as well as free popcorn and hot chocolate and sing-a-long with strolling Victorian Carolers.
(Heated tents will be available.)
Saturday - November 24
Don’t miss a unique Quincy tradition with Santa’s arrival on Saturday, November 24th at Noon.
Santa and his elves will PARACHUTE into Pageant Field where children can greet the big man himself – as long as they’ve been NICE!
Hayrides will also be available.
Afterwards head to the Hancock-Adams Common for live music from 2:00-7:00PM.
Holiday treats and beverages (some naughty) will be available for purchase.

Sunday - November 25th
Then grab your favorite holiday sweater and stake out your spot for the 66th Annual Christmas Parade on Sunday, November 25th from 12:30-3:30pm.
The parade route begins at the intersection of Hancock Street and Walter J.
Hannon Parkway, continuing along Hancock Street to North Quincy High School.
As one of the largest and longest-running holiday parades in the northeast, generations of Quincy families look forward to watching hundreds of Christmas-themed floats, marching bands, and costumed characters fill the streets each year.
All of these events are free and open to families and children of all ages.
Letters to Santa can be placed in “Santa’s Mail Box” at the events all weekend and at the Hancock-Adams Common throughout the holiday season.
