The FBE Apple 5K and 2K races are events that celebrate education in Belmont. The 5K run passes by four of Belmont’s schools (Burbank, Chenery, Wellington, and the High School) and recognizes Belmont’s commitment to educating its young.

Now in its tenth year (six years as the Dan Scharfman Memorial Run), the FBE Apple Run has brought thousands of runners to the streets of Belmont, Massachusetts to support public education and innovation in the Belmont Public Schools.

Since our inaugural event in 2013, the Apple Run has raised more than $200,000 for the Foundation for Belmont Education, a 501c3 non-profit organization that awards grants to the Belmont Public Schools to enrich the education provided to Belmont students.
