On Saturday, September 12 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, the Open House features A Chamber Music Reading Party and Information Session.
Activities include student and faculty performances, and fun exercises on group sight-reading and improvisation.
This is a great opportunity for other instrumentalists to meet, mingle, and play music with others in a casual setting, with the potential to create groups for the fall term.
On Sunday, September 13, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, the Open House will include Meet the Instruments, Beyond Private Lessons, class demonstrations and registration options for the fall semester.
Meet the Instruments introduces children and adults to a wide selection of instruments, in which they can listen to and try, including woodwinds, brass, strings, guitar, piano, and drums.
Beyond Private Lessons will expose families to Chamber and Jazz/Rock ensembles, vocal coaching, Music Therapy, Music Theory and the Suzuki Method.
Meet faculty and partake in class demonstrations for early childhood music, group piano, and dance programs.
Brookline Music School offers a curriculum that is appropriate for every stage of life: from infant to elementary, grade school to middle school, teen and high school years, adulthood and beyond.
Faculty will be available throughout the Open House to offer guidance in making the best choices for each individual as they move from one life stage to the next.
