Black History Month: Tar Beach Storytime Saturday
February 16 & Saturday, February 23, 1:00 – 3:00pm
Join us for a reading of Tar Beach by Faith Ringgold and participate in a fiber arts activity based on the story.
Black History Month: Story Quilt Sunday
February 17, 1:00 – 3:00pm
Story Quilts have been an important part of Black and African American culture in North America for many years, telling stories and sharing history. Share your family’s story and add it to a collaborative Story Quilt. This program is part of the Museum’s celebration of Black History month – Living in Colors: Celebrating Black Life.
Musical Playground Friday
February 22, 10:30am – 12:30pm
Join educator Sarah Zur and other Museum visitors to make a musical playground out of recycled materials.
