Nature’s Superheroes: Life at the Limits
Closes Sunday, May 5; FREE for Members
There's one month left to come learn about the many extraordinary species that have developed unique (and often weird!) “superpowers” to overcome the challenges threatening their survival in this captivating temporary exhibition.

Add to this experience by joining us any day at 2:30 p.m. for the Afternoon Report: The Almanac of Extreme Animal Abilities to hear an exciting exploration of current research into the amazing adaptations of animals in nature. Free for members!


SMALLFOOT 4-D Experience
Opens Friday, April 12 in the 4-D Theater

An extraordinary adventure for all ages, this new 4-D film turns myth upside down when a bright young yeti named Migo finds something he thought didn't exist—a human. Also, it's your last chance to see The Martian 4-D Experience before it leaves on Thursday, April 11!

Cuba: IMAX® Film, Now Showing

Through the eyes of Cuban artists, historians, and scientists, you'll get an intimate look at a vivacious island nation in our newest IMAX film, Cuba. You can also enjoy other captivating films, like Volcanoes: The Fires of Creation and Great Barrier Reef in the Mugar Omni Theater.

Wild Kratts®: Ocean Adventure!
Closes Wednesday, May 22;

This temporary exhibit immerses the young explorers in your life in whole body explorations of ocean habitats and the fascinating creatures within them. Using Wild Kratts technology and the powers of science and teamwork, visitors will join the Wild Kratts team to solve problems, help animals, and foil the villains’ nefarious plans.

Meet a WCVB Meteorologist

Next week, meet one of the meteorologists from WCVB’s Storm Team 5! Learn all about the science of predicting the weather, and how modern technology is making forecasting more accurate than ever.

Did you know that the world's largest air-insulated Van de Graaff generator (star of our famous Lightning! show) was developed in Cambridge? Learn about this and more during this year's Cambridge Science Festival, a celebration showcasing science, technology, engineering, and math. Learn more.


Drop-In Activities

The Hands-On Laboratory is a fun, interactive learning laboratory program that encourages visitors of all ages to explore various topics in the laboratory sciences. Check the Museum's daily schedule for up-to-date program times on the day of your visits to see when you should stop by to try your hand at being a scientist!

Plus, Astronomy After Hours has reopened and runs Fridays in April from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. Check the website for details as weather can impact the programming for the evening and times will shift with the sunset throughout the season.
