The theme is Animal Allies (the interconnectedness of animals and people).
The event is hosted by the LigerBots, Newton’s award-winning high school FIRST robotics team.
During the competition, there will also be a maker fair with exhibitors offering hands-on activities and demonstrations.
Maker fair participants include iRobot, Empow, Einstein's Workshop, Russian School of Math, Newton Free Library, Microsoft, Destination Imagination, Woobo, Kevin Osborn (Maker), Made@MassChallenge, Newton North Greengineering, Artbotics (by the LigerBots) and lots of 3D printers.
