celebrate national engineers week at discovery museum photoCelebrate National Engineers Week with us by engaging in some everyday engineering. Try an engineering challenge using repurposed and recycled materials.

Bridge Building

Monday, February 20 & Tuesday February 21, 10:00am - 2:00pm

Bridges help us safely get from here to there. From blocks to paper, we’ll experiment with simple supplies to design and build some sturdy and strong structures.

Float and Fly

Wednesday, February 22 & Thursday, February 23, 10:00am - 2:00pm

Construct some simple contraptions that harness the power of air to float and glide. See just how far your hoop glider can soar or test your aim through a hula hoop target.

Cup Towers

Friday, February 24 & Saturday, February 25, 10:00 am - 2:00pm

Challenge yourself to build a one-of-a-kind tower made entirely out of cups. How high can you stack ‘em? The sky’s the limit!
