STORY: The countryside is shattered.

In the realm of Empyrean, on the edge of the kingdom of Ustrorich, there is the village of Promise, beset on all sides by danger.
War with the other kingdoms is an ever present threat.
A cult of unspeakable beasts is forming in the name of a whispered devil.
The ancient ruins on the Western border quake and creak, seemingly beckoning those that would dare to venture within and claim their treasure.
Rumors from the dark halls of the good forest folk tell of magicks that control the forces of nature itself.
Citizens say that those who spend too long near the wild can feel the watchful eyes of the angry stars.
Through it all, there appears a message on the corners of streets and the walls of taverns: TO ALL WHO DARE: ADVENTURE AWAITS IN THE VILLAGE OF PROMISE.
