Welcome the Year of the Snake and celebrate the Lunar New Year! Learn about the origins of Chinese traditions such as dances, lanterns, lucky tangerines, and rattle drums through crafts and performance. In honor of the New Year, youth performers from the Wakefield Lions company will perform the Lion Dance, to attract good luck and chase away evil spirits for the upcoming year.
The event will take place in Burnham Hall. The museum galleries are not open for this event.
Children aged 2 and older require a ticket. Children under the age of 2 do not need a ticket.
