MAAM presents comedian Shruti Datari, producer of Half a Mind Comedy, and comics Isabel Thurston, Mark-Anthony Lewis, Viv Martin, and Steph Dalwin for an evening of interactive standup comedy in connection with our current exhibition, Future Fossils.

Event Schedule

6:30 - 7:00pm – Mingling, complimentary mocktails, and artmaking

7:00 - 8:30pm – An evening of laughter and fun (Paine Gallery, 2nd floor)

Meet the Comics

Shruti Datari, host | @shrutitellsjokes Shruti Datari is a co-producer with New Normal Boston and the founder of Half a Mind Comedy, where she produces indie comedy shows with an emphasis on inclusion, community, and uncensored self-expression.

Steph Dalwin | @stephdalwin
Steph Dalwin is a storyteller, comic, the founder of Boston's AAPI Comedy Festival, and one of the co-founders of New Normal Boston, a production collective that centers underrepresented voices in comedy.

Mark-Anthony Lewis | @snarkanthony Mark-Anthony Lewis is a multi-talented comic, showrunner of Sweater Comedy, recent winner of the One Liner Madness competition, and New England's foremost bird comic.

Viv Martin | @vivmartincomedy Viv Martin is a poet, PhD student at Harvard, and the co-founder of Men in Comedy, an all-femme comedy show at novelty locations around the Boston area.

They just performed at the Boston Comedy Festival!

Isabel Thurston | @isabelthurstoncomedy Isabel Thurston is the co-founder of the Duck Duck Goofs comedy club, producer of Divine Comedy shows, and generally an angelic presence in all our lives.

MAAM is located on the MassArt campus at 621 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA.

Green Line
Take the MBTA Green Line (E) to Longwood Medical stop. MAAM is located directly across the street from the station.

Orange Line
You can also ride the MBTA Orange Line to Ruggles Station, and MAAM is only a half mile away. You can also board the CT2 bus bound for Ruggles via Kendall/MIT and exit at the Huntington and Longwood stop.

Bus
There are several MBTA bus routes that will get you to MAAM, including #39, CT2, #65, #8, #47, #19.

Commuter Rail
Take the Franklin Line or Providence/Stoughton Line to Ruggles Station. MAAM is a half mile from the station or you can board any CT2 bus bound for Sullivan Square and exit at the Huntington and Longwood stop.

By car
MAAM is located near the entrance of the MassArt campus at 621 Huntington Avenue. Please note that street parking is limited in our neighborhood. The closest self-park garage is located at the Museum of Fine Arts, 20 Museum Road (0.3 miles away). Hourly and day rates are available.
