As part of this month-long initiative to support breast cancer patients and survivors across Greater Boston, Blue Cross will donate $1 to The Ellie Fund for every ride taken on a pink bike (either classic or ebike).
Once that threshold is met, Lyft, the operator of Bluebikes, will match the donation with an additional $1 per ride, contributing up to an additional $10,000.
Blue Cross is the title sponsor of Bluebikes, which is municipally owned by thirteen cities and towns in eastern Massachusetts, jointly managed by the Cities of Boston, Cambridge, Everett, and Somerville and the Town of Brookline, and operated under contract by Lyft.
WHEN: October 1 – October 31, 2025
WHERE: Pink-wrapped bikes will be available across the system’s 13 municipalities: Arlington, Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Newton, Revere, Salem, Somerville, and Watertown.

HOW: Find and ride one of the 100 pink-wrapped bikes across the Bluebikes system and a $1 donation will automatically be made on behalf of your ride.
