Hood Park, in collaboration with Tradesman Charlestown, will host the campus's first Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday, November 8 from 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM.Families and their children from across the Charlestown and Greater Boston communities are welcome to spend the day exploring real-life emergency vehicles, participating in games and featured activities, and enjoying bites from Tradesman.
Touch-a-Truck will give children a chance to get up close with construction equipment, as well as Boston fire truck, police cruiser, ambulance, while also meeting some first responders serving the local community.
The event will feature additional family-friendly activities including face painting, balloon sculpting, and games.
Hood Park’s Henry Bear’s Park will also have a featured table with games and prizes at the event.
Guests will also have an opportunity to enjoy free fall-inspired bites by Tradesman Charlestown.
The event will be held at 500 Rutherford Avenue.
Touch-a-Truck is free to attend and open to the public.
The garage at 100 Hood Park Drive offers visitors three hours of free parking.
Hood Park is also MBTA accessible and within walking distance of Sullivan Station.
