Children in grades K-6 can develop dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive skills while building self-confidence at a week-long basketball camp at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton.

Led by youth recreation specialist and basketball coach Peter Sylvester, the camp is offered August 10-14 from 9am-4pm.

Schedule includes drills in the morning and games and outdoor free swim in the afternoon.

Cost for the week is $450.

Half-day (9am-12pm), early drop-off and extended day options available.

Open to the entire community.
