The North Shore Players will be holding open auditions for the hit Broadway musical, MAME.
Set in the late 1920s, the show follows Mame Dennis as she inherits her late brother’s 10-year old son and must raise him to live and appreciate the bohemian lifestyle she’s come to personify.
Featuring exciting characters, glamorous costumes, and show-stopping song and dance numbers, MAME is a surefire good time for anyone involved, and we look forward to seeing you at auditions!
Audition Dates:
Thursday, September 8th from 7:30-9:30PM Friday, September 9th from 7:30-9:30PM
Callbacks will be held on Sunday, September 11th from 7:30-10:00PM, and every auditioning actor will be called.
WHERE:
Hogan Regional Auditorium
500 Feet West of 450 Maple Street
Danvers, MA
(Look for directional arrow signs and Recreation Building sign.

WHAT:
Actors should prepare a 1-minute monologue in the tone of the show, along with 16 bars of any song of your choosing.
Songs can be performed a cappella, or with accompaniment, however, actors must provide the sheet music if it’s needed.
Callbacks will include a small movement piece, reading from sides, and some ensemble singing.
Please note that while the movement audition is required, not all actors will be required to dance during performances.
REHEARSAL INFO:
Rehearsals will be held Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays starting at 7 or 7:30PM.
Not all actors will be required to attend each rehearsal, but please come prepared to note your conflicts in advance.
Attendance is mandatory for the duration of tech week, which will be 12/2-12/8.
Performances will be December 9, 10, and 11.

Route 1 North into Danvers –
EXIT 62 West
Once on Rt. 62 West you’ll go approximately 1/8th mile to the
traffic lights and a left turn lane. (Opposite the State Police)
Take a left and then an immediate right. (No street sign but there will be a
NORTH SHORE PLAYERS arrow sign posted nearby). (the Lahey Outpatient Center will be seen ahead on left).
Goup the hill about 0.2 miles and take a right at the stop sign. Drive about 0.4 mile (about 150 yds beyond orange blinking light) past the 450 Maple St. building , until the NSP left arrow sign, turn left into the parking lot at 6 Hathorne Circle at the Hogan Regional Center Auditorium.
