In partnership with The Dance Complex and The Theater Offensive, an intergenerational cast (12 - 70 years of age, professional and community performers alike) illuminates the adapted holiday celebrations of families of we're born to and families of choice through stories, through dance ...and even a little drag.
All of us have the potential to feel we are 'outside' the norm and the holidays can often intensify feelings of inclusion and exclusion.
Building on a series of workshops he offered, 'Coming Out for Straight People and Their Friends,' Peter believed there was strength in the process of active belonging, of choosing one's circle, which could also be a learning and questioning tool among others who feel other.
'Gumdrops' will also perform at The Dance Complex's Winter Wonder Festival December 28 - 30.
