One prestigious university, a couple of rising seniors, and a series of marriage scams.

In the midst of planning her best friend’s wedding, Angie, an aspiring writer struggling with the prospect of years of debt, discovers a simple, quick, and marginally illegal path to solve all of her problems.

Step one: get hitched.

Step two: list herself on the FAFSA as “independent.” Step three: obtain free tuition, attend grad school, and become a famous writer.

For help, she enlists her friend, Ben, who has a college agenda of his own: to get into Law School without losing his mind, his morals, or his boyfriend.

Complications accumulate as Gina, a fellow senior in pursuit of US Citizenship, requests to be included.

Soon enough, word spreads as students discover the benefits of being a married college student.

and Angie realizes that she has become the leader of a thriving underground fake-marriage-certificate cartel.
