Open Auditioning for Touring and Regional Casts • No fees ever!
Open to ballet students (age 7+) through professional dancers.
Don't miss this this opportunity to gain performing experience in this holiday classic!
Dancers may opt to audition for the touring cast or regional cast depending on availability and commitment preference.
Dance Prism’s Nutcracker Touring Cast performs in all cities and rehearses at Dance Prism’s West Concord rehearsal studio on weekends.Regional casts perform in one city only and rehearse locally once weekly: usually in Andover & Worcester/Grafton on Tuesdays, in Fall River on Thursdays or Fridays, in Littleton & Needham/Sudbury on Saturdays.
Touring Cast Auditions – Sunday, Sept 9
The Touring Cast appears in all of the company’s season performances, usually between ten and fifteen performances on weekends in November and December.
Experienced dancers seriously interested in the Touring Cast should attend the Concord auditions on Sept.
9; if at all possible.
If interested in touring cast but cannot attend the Concord audition please attend on of the regional dates and be sure to let us know your preferences.

Regional Auditions:
In order to provide a broader range of aspiring young dancers the opportunity to perform in a professional setting, Dance Prism rehearses regional casts for selected roles in several of its performance localities each season.
Regional casts perform in one city only and rehearse locally once weekly: usually in Andover & Worcester/Grafton on Tuesdays, in Fall River on Thursdays or Fridays, in Littleton & Needham/Sudbury on Saturdays.

All levels: 2:30 pm
Wayland Saturday, Sept 23 New England Ballet, 302 Boston Post Rd.
All levels: 4:00 pm
Natick MA, Tuesday Oct 9 - Do Dance Studio 1400 Worcester Road, 2nd Floor.
Level I/II 3:00, Level III 4:00
Additional audition location/dates to be announced: Fall River/New Bedford, South Grafton.

Audition Level Details:
Level I: ballet students 7–9, male & female
Level II: ballet students 9 – 1 2, male & female, including any student under 5’
Level III: intermediate students, 12 through adult, male & female advanced dancers, 12 through adult, male & female (advanced dancers should be prepared to stay for Level IV if requested)
Level IV: advanced dancers, male & female, women on pointe—selected from Level III; please do not attend Level IV only Important Notes:
Every role in the production is truly a level-appropriate dancing role, so at least elementary training is required.
Casting is not related to studio affiliation; further, no dancer will ever be asked to participate in the classes/activities of any studio other than that at which he/she regularly studies.
Dance Prism is a performing organization only.
No fees (audition or performance) are charged to dancers at any time.
Dancers must supply generally basic dance shoes & tights as stipulated, however.

Limited stipends available for some dancers of professional level.
