In the inaugural season of The Umbrella Stage Company ó Greater Bostonís newest professional theater ó the award-winning Umbrella Performing Arts Program celebrates the grand-opening of its new mainstage theater with the greatest celebration of musical theatre and the people who make it happen: the dazzling 42nd STREET!
Aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer comes to the big city from Allentown PA, and soon lands her first big job in the ensemble of a glitzy new Broadway show.
But just before opening night, the leading lady breaks her ankle.
Will Peggy be able to step in and become a star?
Splashy and grand, this tap-dance fueled musical is a visual feast!

ABOUT THE SEASON
The Umbrella's Stage Company's expanded, six-show season ranges from high-kicking spectacle to punk rock musical to socially urgent drama.
With shows alternating between a 350-seat mainstage and flexible 100-seat blackbox, it will be the first season staged in The Umbrella Community Art Centerís brand-new, state-of-the-art, multi-theater performing arts facilities at 40 Stow Street, in the heart of the historic Concord Center Cultural District.
Season, Flex Pass, Group and Individual tickets are available, and patrons can make a night of it thanks to Dinner-and-a-Show deals offered by several Umbrella Hospitality Partners.
