Called a ‘memory play’ because the story is told through the reflections and memories of its main character, Tom Wingfield.

Tom's reflections on his past about his dominating mother and his weak, sickly sister seem to haunt him, and as he recounts his memories, they come to life on stage.

As Tom narrates his memories, he also features in them, creating a kind of tension in the play - because what we are seeing is not exactly what happened, but rather how Tom remembers it.

Thus the audience is invited only to see his view of this world, interpreted through his perspective of bleak hopelessness.

CAST:
Amanda Wingfield: Cathy Koerwer (of Sudbury)
Tom Wingfield: Ben Gawlik (of Worcester)
Laura Wingfield: Liz Decasse (of Chelmsford)
Jim O' Connor: Michael Valeri (of Townsend)
