Join us for a walking tour of Andover within the context of the American Industrial Revolution.
Stage 1 covers the inception of the railroad, the damming of the Shawsheen and Merrimack Rivers, Smith and Dove and both Marland Mills locations.
We then segue into stage 2 and learn about Tyer Rubber and touch on William Wood's American Woolen Company.
The tour includes the rail station, Essex Street, Shawsheen Road, Stevens Street, and Railroad Street
Duration: 1 1/2 hours
