Robert Treat Paine Tribute & Taunton’s Revolutionary War Walking Tour

May marks the 250th anniversary of the Second Continental Congress convening in Philadelphia to unite the thirteen colonies in support of the American Revolution – of which Paine was a delegate.
The tribute will include a wreath laying ceremony with musket fire by the SAR at the Robert Treat Paine statue in front of Taunton City Hall, followed by a Revolutionary War walking tour of downtown led by the OCHM.
All are invited to the wreath laying.
Tickets to “Taunton’s Revolutionary War Walking Tour” are $10/Not-yet-a-Member, $0/OCHM Members and must be purchased ahead of time.
The walking tour begins as soon as the ceremony ends and follows an eight-tenths of a mile trail around downtown, ending back at the statue.
Light rain or shine.
Rain date is set for May 31 at 11am.
