Each themed workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.
In Minni SculptureShop – Playdough Gardens (Virtual) nature lovers and aspiring landscape architects will gather to create colorful garden reliefs from homemade playdough.
Instructor Maria will offer a brief lesson on color mixing, texture and composition while students mold their own playdough into miniature worlds of their own.
Materials Needed
1 cup of flour
½ cup of salt
½ cup of water
Medium sized bowl for mixing
Spoon for mixing
Tempera paint or food coloring (we recommend primary colors)
6” piece of cardboard to use as a base (measurement does not need to be exact!)
Any tools on hand to manipulate playdough with, such as spoons, popsicle sticks, a garlic press, rolling pins and cookie cutters
Optional: Popsicle sticks, toothpicks, pipe cleaners, or any objects to create flower stems with
We encourage all participants to complete a fun scavenger hunt challenge or warm-up activity before we gather for each workshop.
