An NIH-funded research study opportunity for teens who suffer from chronic headaches (e.g. migraines). For more information, please see the IRB-approved recruitment text below.
Inflexxion, Inc.is seeking adolescent participants for a research study to inform the development of a self-care app for teenagers who have chronic migraines or headaches.
This research is funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).
• Participants will be asked to take part in an in-person interview.
During the interview, the adolescent will be presented with a prototype for a mobile-phone application, or app, and asked to carry out several tasks within the prototype (login, registration, locating information, etc.)
• These interviews are confidential and results will be used to inform development of a new app designed to help teenagers self-manage their headaches.
We are looking for participants who meet the following description:
• Age 13-17
• Diagnosis of primary headache, confirmed by a doctor.
Examples include: migraine with or without aura, episodic tension-type headache, chronic migraine, chronic tension-type headache, chronic daily headache
• Able to read and speak English
• Owner of an iPhone or iPod
