Summer is “leafing” us behind, and now it’s time to fall into our autumn events.
There are plenty of ways to get involved in October – from lending a hand during the Food & Wine Festival to celebrating Halloween and reading with Arthur and his friends at the Boston Public Library.
Be the coolest kid in the class and sign up to volunteer first!

Saturday, October 21: ARTHUR’s Halloween LiBOOry Spooktacular at WGBH’s Satellite Studio at Boston Public Library (700 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116)
Location: WGBH Studio at the Boston Public Library, located at 700 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116
Description: Arthur is celebrating Halloween in our WGBH studio at BPL from 1-4pm.
Guests will join us for photos with Arthur, crafts, costume-making and cookie decorating.
Following a special Story Time in the Children’s Room will be a costume parade led by Arthur.
In Rabb Hall, you can attend an advance screening of the new ARTHUR Halloween Special, “Arthur and the Haunted Tree House,” which premieres on PBS KIDS October 23.
Position/Shift: Activity Table (1-4pm), Community Ambassador to promote enter-to-win opportunity (1-4pm), Costume Handler (1-4pm), Food Host (1-4pm), Greeter (1-3:30pm), Line Manager/take photos as needed with guest’s camera (9:30am-2pm), Photographer’s Assistant (1-4pm), Screening Supervisor/Usher (1-4pm), Line Manager/Parade Support (1-4pm), Story Walk Trick-or-Treat Supervisor (1-4pm)
