The historic Stage Fort Park along Gloucester Harbor will blossom into color, flavor and music for the 40th Annual Gloucester Waterfront Festival.

Re Gloucester Waterfront Festival

Interesting that the prior review was posted before the festival even began. If the reviewer was refering to an event from a past year then this should have been stated in the review. And, as such, past experiences don't reflect what the festival will be like this year.

Gloucester Waterfront Festival

We were disappointed! The setting was lovely when we finally got through the traffic jams to get to the parking area but we were disappointed with the festival. The music wasn't the Celtic/Folk as advertised; there were dogs all over the place and when we were there on Sunday, there were no magic/puppet shows that we coud see. My 4 year old loves to get her face painted but at 20 dollars, it was far too expensive compared to other festivals we've been to where it as half the price or free. The best bit for our kids (1.5 and 4 years) was the playground which we could have visited any time.
