Home Base and Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund invite you to help create Boston’s iconic and moving Memorial Day Flag Garden tribute.

Each of the 37,000+ American flags planted at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument this Memorial Day will represent every brave Massachusetts service member who gave his or her life defending our country since the Revolutionary War.

The completed garden is a breathtaking tribute to the true meaning of Memorial Day and a powerful message of community support to the families of these fallen heroes that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

We literally need all the hands we can get to create this display.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

You can:

• Help us plant flags on Wendnesday, May 20th. To sign up as an individual volunteer, please use this link.

• Sign up for a shift to watch the flags over the weekend. Shifts are in 2-hour increments and will occur from Wednesday, 5/20 at 12:00pm until Monday, 5/25 at 5:30pm. Volunteers watching the flags will be assigned in teams and will also be trained on how to educate the community about the display.

• Help us retire the Flag Garden beginning at 5:30pm, May 25th.
